There is nothing that you can do. Trapped between a 100 foot cliff and a tidal wave. You will be smashed on the rocks, and if you try and climb up the sandstone face, you will be washed off and crushed by the impending landslide of 20-ton boulders and 100 tons of loose rock and debri.
The little children know nothing. They scurry up the cliff face, ignorant of the danger, and the Father taking pictures, Mother close behind, clapping with her hands, like a cattle dog corralling its prey. A couple of grains of sand blow into their faces. Pretty soon a gust of wind sends a small bevy of material shooting onto the alluvial fan. Then, a gigantic shear of earth is removed. Sent forth in utter reality, laws of physics.
